Bajaj Auto sold 2,71,862 units in May 2021, up 114% against 1,27,128 units sold in the same month last year. The company had sold 4,19,235 units of total sales in May 2019.
Domestic sales stood at 60,830 units, up 52% to 40,074 units during the period under review. During the previous month, the company sold 60,342 units of two-wheelers and 488 units of commercial vehicles in the domestic market.
The company’s exports jumped 142% to 2,11,032 units in May from 87,054 units in the same month of the previous year. Bajaj Auto exported 180,212 units of two-wheelers and 30,120 units of commercial vehicles in the previous month.
Overall 2-wheelers sales increased by 112% to 240,554 units in May 2021 in comparison with 112,798 units last year, while commercial vehicle sales grew 118% to 31,308 units year-on-year.
In April 2021, the company sold 126,570 units in the domestic market and exported 221,603 units. In total, Bajaj Auto dispatched 348,173 units in April.
