BMW has launched the new facelift model of its popular 6 Series GT in the Indian market at an introductory price of Rs 67.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The top variant is priced at Rs 77.90 lakh.
“The new BMW 6 Series recrafts luxury and adds a truly unique dimension to the executive class segment,” said BMW Group India President Vikram Pawah.
He further added that the model has the practicality of a crossover, the dynamics of a sports car, the silhouette of a fastback and the luxury of a sedan.
The new GT comes with a coupe-style design and is longer than the 5 Series model, giving more space inside the car. The BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo is available in three variants with three different alternatives of 2-litre diesel engine, a 3-litre diesel engine and a 2-litre petrol engine.
The 2-litre petrol engine of the 630i generates a maximum output of 258 hp with 0-100 kmph acceleration in just 6.5 seconds. The 2-litre diesel engine of the 620d develops a maximum output of 190 hp with 0-100 kmph acceleration in 7.9 seconds. While, the 3-litre 6-cylinder in-line diesel engine of 630d produces maximum output of 265hp with 0-100 kmph acceleration in 6.1 seconds, making it the quickest car in its segment.
The car comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox. It has five drive modes: Sport, Comfort, Comfort Plus, Eco Pro and Adaptive.
There are some minor changes compared to its earlier version. The company has introduced it in two trims, including the Luxury and M Sport. The company has also given a new style bumper with a new wide kidney grille in it. At the same time, new taillights have been included in the car.
The car comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a wireless charging pad and USB ports, four-zone temperature control, BMW Parking and Reversing Assistant, a panoramic sunroof, Dynamic Stability Control and many more that make the car price worthy.
The luxury carmaker is also offering gifts like lifestyle accessories and merchandise such as BMW Display Key, a duffle bag, headphones and more worth Rs. 1.5 lakh to those who will book by April 30, 2021.
