MG Motor India has cut prices of SUVs like MG Hector, Hector Plus and MG Gloster and also of EV models like Comet EV and ZS EV.
MG Hector price range will now start from ex-showroom price of Rs 14.95 lakh while that of Hector Plus will now start from Rs 17.75 lakh. According to car research platform, CarWale, the JSW Group and China-based SIAC’s India JV has cut prices of Hector Plus by around Rs 80,000, while, the former has become cheaper by Rs 6,000.
Both the variants come only with petrol and diesel engines.
The China and India JV has cut prices of another SUV, MG Gloster by Rs 1.31 lakh. The ex-showroom price of MG Motor India’s costliest SUV will now start from Rs 37.49 lakh.

The price cut has been steeper in case of EVs. According to automobile publication, Auto Car India, MG Motor has cut prices of Comet EV by Rs 99,000. The price of the small-size EV will now start from Rs 6.99 lakh.
While, the automotive company has driven in a new entry level variant of ZS EV at Rs 18.98 lakh. This brings down price of entry level model of ZS EV by Rs 3.9 lakh.
While, MG Motor India has not yet announced any price cut for its cheapest SUV MG Astor the price of which still starts from Rs 9.98 lakh.
The decision will make MG Motor India cars more accessible and affordable for customers. At the same time it will make its vehicles more competitive against rivals.
MG Motor is celebrating 100th anniversary all over the world. And, hence the price cut.
