Hero MotoCorp, India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer introduced its new bike – HF 100. The entry-level motorbike has been priced at Rs 49,400 (ex-showroom, New Delhi) which makes it one of the most affordable motorbikes offered by the company.
The new bike which is similar to the HF Deluxe is available in a red and black colour combination. The latest offering from Hero MotoCorp is seen competing with Bajaj CT 100 which is priced at Rs 44,890 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
The Engine
The new edition comes with a 97.2cc fuel-injected air-cooled engine with a single-cylinder unit. It generates a maximum power of 7.91 bhp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 8.05 Nm at 5,000 rpm. The engine is equipped with a four-speed gearbox. The new Hero HF 100 has a 9.1-litre fuel tank. The motorbike does not have an electric start option.
Features
Being in the entry-level segment, this bike with bare-bones has kept its looks simple yet functional. The bike includes raised and upright handlebar, a halogen headlamp, a single-piece seat, taillamps and turn-signal indicators, crash protectors, a headlamp cowl with an integrated visor, a full concealed chain cover and more. It also has World-Class xSens Multi-Sensor System.
Other details
The Hero HF 100 weighs 110 kg. It has an 805mm tall seat and 165mm ground clearance. Suspension duties on the bike are handled by a telescopic unit at the front and non-adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. The bike comes with 130mm disc brakes at both ends that are supported by a combined braking system for additional safety. HF 100 features alloy wheels shod with tubeless tyres at both ends.
