Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024 was launched on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at starting ex-showroom price of Rs 6.49 lakh. The Japanese automaker has driven in the all-new hatchback in six different variants and nine different hues. Maruti Suzuki has promised a mileage of 24.8 km/l for manual variants and 25.7 km/l for automatic variants. The auto juggernaut has priced its latest offering marginally higher than its current versions, with prices going up to Rs 9.64 lakh for the highest variant. Customers can get the models on a subscription basis starting from Rs 17,436 per month. The subscription rate is inclusive of road side assistance. Bookings have already begun at Rs 11,000 both online and offline at Arena dealerships.
The lowest variant of Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024 comes only with manual transmission. While, customers can get both automatic and manual transmission in all other variants.
This is the fourth generation in the lineage. It is also longer but shorter in height than the third-generation Swift.
Other striking features of Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024 subsume nine inch screen display, six airbags, wireless charging, smartwatch pairing, vehicle tracking, emergency alert, speed alert, tow away alert, cruise control, reverse parking camera, SOS button to name a few. All the six variants of the all-new Swift come with six airbags option. The car will come with separate apps to connect with Android and Apple phones.
Talking about the engine, Maruti has used the all new 1.2 L K-Series engine which has 1,197 engine capacity. It can generate maximum power of 60 kW@ 5,700 rpm and torque of 111.7 Nm@4,300 rpm with three cylinders.
The all new Swift will vie with likes of Tata Punch, Hyundai Exter, Hyundai i10 which are priced lower.
Swift is the second highest-selling hatchback after Alto from the house of Maruti Suzuki. It was also the highest selling car in India in 2023.
