Renault India has increased the prices of Kiger, the subcompact SUV, from Rs 3,000 to Rs. 33,000 depending on the variant. The Kiger is available in four variants – RXE, RXL, RXT and RXZ. However, there has been no change in the prices of the base RXE and RXE dual-tone along with RXT Turbo CVT and RXZ Turbo CVT models.
The company has kept the price of its top-selling car Renault Kwid untouched with the hope to deliver good sales. Renault witnessed a negative growth of 30.1% by selling just 8,642 units in April this year even after offering huge discounts.
Price rise across various models:
The RXL variant became expensive by Rs 18,000, RXT by Rs 20,000, and the RXZ by Rs 14,000. The AMT models – RXL, RXT, and RXZ will see the prices rise by Rs 23,000, Rs 25,000, and Rs 19,000, respectively.
While the Turbo variants powered by a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, experienced the hike as follows – RXL (up by Rs 28,000), RXT (up by Rs 30,000), and RXZ (up by Rs 24,000). Fortunately, there has been no change in the turbo petrol CVT variant.
All the variants are offered with a dual colour option and you have to pay additional Rs 3,000 for them as compared to single colour options.
