Maruti Jimny: This small SUV has already begun production in India but is only exported. The manufacturer showcased it at the 2020 Auto Expo but did not confirm any launch date. The car is expected to be priced around Rs 10 lakh.
Skoda Kushaq: Skoda will unveil the Kushaq on March 18. The Kushaq will come with two TSI turbo-petrol engines. The first is a 110hp, 1.0-litre, three-cylinder unit and the second is a 150hp, 1.5-litre, four-cylinder unit.
Volkswagen Taigun: Marking Volkswagen’s entry into the mid-size SUV segment, Taigun will be designed on the brand’s India 2.0 Project. The compact SUV is expected to be priced at around ₹ 10.00 – 16.00 lakh
In September 2021, a decline of 19% was witnessed in the total production of passenger vehicles, three wheelers, two wheelers and quadricycles was at 2,125,304 units as against the same period last year.
Hyundai AX1: The AX1 is expected to be based on the same K1 platform as the Santro, and in typical Hyundai fashion. It is expected to be launced in the second half of 2021 and priced in the range of around Rs 4-7 Lakhs.
Citroen CC21: Citroen is working on a range of new products for India, one of which is a new sub-4m SUV which is expected to be launched in the country around this festive season. The CC21 is expected to be offered with both naturally-aspirated and turbocharged petrol engines.
Maruti Suzuki YTB: The sub-4m crossover codenamed YTB is expected to be launched by end of this year. This new model is being referred to as the ‘sister’ of Baleno and could be based on the premium hatchback itself.
