The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) issues a list of holidays every month when banks remain shut. As per the holiday calendar released by RBI, private and public sector banks will be shut for 12 days in the month of December including Sundays and second and fourth Saturdays.
These holidays may vary from state to state. While customers will be able to access online banking services, they will not be able to take any service at bank branches on these days.
There is only one national holiday that is December 25, where banks across the country will be shut.

December 30: Death anniversary of U Kiang Nangbah, banks will remain closed in Meghalaya
December 31: New year’s eve, banks closed in Mizoram
