October is the month of festivals. Almost all banks have come up with special offers for their customers. Besides offers on loans, there are offers pertaining to credit and debit card transactions. Banks such as SBI, HDFC, ICICI, IDFC are announcing multiple offers.
SBI Card has announced the launch of a three-day shopping festive offer. The offer will start on October 3 and will be open till October 5, 2021. SBI Card retail cardholders will get a flat discount of 10% on any online purchase.
Retail cardholders will have the freedom to shop online on any domestic e-commerce site and avail 10% cash back. The offer will also be available on online merchant EMI transactions, SBI Card in a statement on September 29.
If a customer or account holder has more than one credit card seeded to the same customer ID, the total transaction on all the cards during the offer period will be considered.
Private lender IDFC First Bank is offering flat 1% cash back on all types of purchase done through IDFC FIRST Bank Debit Card. With this card, customers can earn up to Rs 10,000 in cash back on POS and online purchases with no minimum spend requirements.
This offer is valid for the period between September 17 and November 4, 2021. The offer excludes ATM withdrawals, wallet uploads, EMI transactions, and fund transfers. If a customer or account holder has more than one debit card seeded to the same customer ID, the total transaction on all of the debit cards during the offer period will be considered. The total cash back amount which will be credited to the customer’s account within 48 hours.
Largest private lender HDFC Bank has announced that all millennia credit card holders are now eligible to get 5% flat cash back on online purchase. Besides flat 1% cash back on all offline purchase including fuel payment.
Reward points will be valid for a period of two years in place of existing one year. With the HDFC Bank Festive Offer, for any loan on credit cards taken between October 1 and November 15, the processing fee will be Rs 799 irrespective of the amount of the loan.
Besides offers on cards, Kotak Mahindra Bank, SBI, HDFC, PNB and other big lenders slashed home loan interest rates which now range from 6.5% to 6.7%. Some have also waived off the processing fees and other charges.
Additionally, lenders are also offering facilities for car and personal loans, such as zero processing fees and trimmed interest rates. All the lenders are locked in a stiff competition to grab a decent market share.
