ICICI Bank, the second largest private sector bank of the country, has raised the interest rates on fixed deposits (FDs) for selected tenures. They have hiked interest rates on their fixed deposits (FDs) by 0.10 percentage point. These rates are applicable from December 4, 2021.
As per ICICI Bank’s website, after the latest revision they are offering 2.50% to 5.60% interest rate on deposits maturing between seven days and 10 years to the general public. On the other hand, senior citizens will get 3% to 6.30% interest.
Let’s take a look at ICICI Bank tenure-wise latest FD interest rates for the general public (below Rs 2 crore):
7 days to 14 days, 15 days to 29 days: 2.50%
30 days to 45 days, 46 days to 60 days, 61 days to 90 days: 3.00%
91 days to 120 days, 121 days to 150 days, 151 days to 184 days: 3.50%
185 days to 210 days, 211 days to 270 days, 271 days to 289 days, 290 days to less than 1 year: 4.40%
1 year to 389 days, 390 days to < 15 months, 15 months to < 18 months: 4.90%
18 months to 2 years: 5.00%
2 years 1 day to 3 years: 5.20%
3 years 1 day to 5 years: 5.40%
5 years 1 day to 10 years: 5.60%

In the last few days various financial institutions have also hiked rates on fixed deposits. HDFC Bank has revised fixed deposit rates On December 1, 2021. Now they are offering 2.50% to 5.50% interest rate on deposits maturing between seven days and 10 years to the general public and 3% to 6.25% interest to senior citizens.
HDFC Ltd and Bajaj Finance, both AAA rated companies, are also offering more returns on their fixed deposits (FDs) by 0.30 percentage point.
