The selection for SBI POs will be done through a three-tier process.

State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest commercial bank, has invited applications for recruitment to the post of probationary officers (PO) in various departments. The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 2,056 vacancies. The application process began on October 5, 2021. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online till October 25, 2021. Vacancy details

As per the official notification, the total number of vacancies is 2,056. Of these, 324 are for Scheduled Caste (SC), 162 for Scheduled Tribe (ST), 560 for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 200 for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and 810 are for the general category.

Eligibility criteria

There are certain eligibility criteria for applying for these posts. Take a look:

– Educational qualifications: Candidates with a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university can apply for the post of SBI probationary officer (PO). Those who are in the final year/semester of their graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for an interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before December 31, 2021.

– Age Limit: The candidate’s age should not be more than 30 years as on April 1, 2021.  Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for reserved category candidates as per government guidelines.

Selection process

The selection for SBI probationary officers will be done through a three-tier process:  The candidates need to first qualify in the preliminary examination followed by the main and interview.

Salary

Presently, the starting basic pay is Rs 41,960 (with 4 advance increments) on the scale of Rs 36000-1490/7-46430-1740/2-49910-1990/7-63840 applicable to Junior Management  Grade  Scale-I.  The official will also be eligible for other allowances.
