To ensure high safety and security, the State Bank of India has introduced one-time password-based login for online banking. This feature has been launched to add an extra layer of security for online transactions. Informing the same, the bank tweeted, “SBI makes online banking safer (for) you with our OTP-based login for added security. Now bank carefree from the comfort of your home.”

As per the video shared by the country’s top lender, for better control and security of the account, customers can lock or unlock their internet banking access through “Lock & Unlock user” link at the bottom of the internet banking page.
Follow these steps to set a high-security OTP in SBI:
– After logging into SBI’s internet banking through your credentials, go to ‘My Accounts & Profile’ section.
– Click on the link showing ‘High-Security Password.’
– Type your profile password to move further.
– On the next page there will be options like Transactions at Merchant Establishments, inter or intra-bank beneficiary payment, credit card, International fund transfer, or IMPS. Click on Yes.
– Select the preferred mode where you want to receive OTP.
Through this high-security OTP, you can supervise your various banking transactions. Through the video, the bank has said that the customers should never transfer their OTP/passwords or personal information to anyone.
