More than 8.5 crore pension account holders of State Bank of India (SBI) now have a dedicated pension website, the only portal exclusively for such customers. The nation’s largest lender also has the biggest pensioner base across the industry. The website is a single destination for all needs of a pensioner, the bank said in a tweet. Every pensioner needs to submit life certificate once every year to continue getting the pension. SBI pension account holders now can submit their life certificate or Jeevan Praman Patra through this website. They, or their representatives, don’t have to visit a branch and stand in a queue.
Pensioners can login and check pension-related details instantly, like deposit of pension, interest deposit and balance related information.

Besides submission of life certificate and checking balance, there are multiple services that can be done through this portal. Downloading of arrears calculation sheets, download of pension slips or form 16 is also available here.
Pension profile details, information related to all types of investments such as RD, FD, mutual funds etc and life certificate status are also can be accessed through the pension portal, SBI said.
SBI also offers personal loan against the monthly pension amount which is deposited in the bank, a pensioner can avail that facility also through this portal.
There are a few more facilities such as regular SMS alerts and monthly pension slips.
Senior citizen savings scheme (SCSS) and EPPO provision for defence, railway, CPAO pensioners are also there in the portal.
If you are a registered pension holder of SBI, then you are eligible for this facility. At first, you have to create a user ID and enter your pension account number.
Then put your date of birth and enter the branch code of pension paying branch and registered email ID same as submitted to the branch. Enter a password, then confirm password. Your pension account is ready for use.
