FPIs have been net buyers of India ‘s equity markets so far in current financial year . They have bought shares worth 8,767 crore rupees since April 13, 2023 Before this, they were net buyers of equities in March also. According to experts, FIIs have been net buyers because of recent correction in the market.
According to experts, FPIs were buyers in capital goods, construction and FMCG. They have sold mostly IT and oil and gas stocks since the beginning of current financila year. Experts have opined that
IT sector is likely to witness more selling in the coming days especially after TCS and Infosys posted lower than expected analsts estimate result in March quarter. However, capital goods, financials and construction-related segments are likely to witness more buying.
