SBI re-introduces Amrit Kalash fixed deposit scheme

Bringing back of the Amrit Kalash FD scheme and high-interest rates on other FDs will help the SBI in increasing its Casa ratio.

The State Bank of India (SBI) has re-introduced its Special Scheme i.e. the “ Amrit Kalash” fixed deposit scheme. The public sector bank will pay 7.10% interest rate under this Special Scheme FD for a tenure of 400 days. On FDs of other tenures, depositors can get as high as 7% for 2 years to less than 3 years. On tax saver 5-year FDs, account holders will get 6.50% interest rate. Senior citizens will get additional  of 0.50% on all these FDs including the special FD scheme. Account holders have time till June 30, 2023 to apply for the “ Amrit Kalash” FD scheme.

Bringing back will help the SBI increase current, savings account ratio.
