Delhi lockdown extended by one week, says Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal

Delhi has also been witnessing acute oxygen shortage amid the second wave

Amid the surging Covid cases, lockdown restrictions will be in place for another week , Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced via Twitter on May 1.

According to the previous guidelines, the national capital was under lockdown till May 3, that is, Monday 5 am.

In the last 24 hours, Delhi witnessed 27,000 new cases and 375 fatalities.

Delhi has been witnessing acute oxygen shortage amid the second wave. Hospitals are seen tweeting SOS messages regarding the same. Today, eight people including one doctor died in Delhi’s Batra Hospital due to Oxygen scarcity.
