Vaccine Taskforce chief has an advice for those who test positive for Covid-19 after taking first jab

In the ongoing war against coronavirus, the pace of vaccination is being accelerated in the country. Today is the fourth day of Tika Utsav and more than 26 lakh doses have been administered in the past 24 hours in the country. At the same time, many people have become infected despite taking the jab. VK Paul, vaccine taskforce chief and member of NITI Aayog, has said those who contract the virus after taking the first dose, must wait for 12 weeks and then take the second jab.

“If you contract Covid-19 after getting your first dose of vaccine, wait for 12 weeks after your recovery and then take the second jab,” he said.

The countrywide vaccination drive was rolled out on January 16.
