For the month of June 2021, Bajaj Auto’s total sales grew by 24% to 3,46,136 units as against 2,78,097 units in the same month last year. While the company had sold 3,51,291 units of total sales in June 2019.
On the domestic front, the company sold 1,61,836 total units in June 2021 with an increase of 7% to 1,51,189 units as compared to last year during the corresponding month.
Out of total domestic sales units of June 2021, 1,55,640 units were two-wheelers with an increase of 6% as compared to 1,46,695 units sold in June last year. While 6,196 units were commercial vehicles as against 4,494 units in the same month last year, up 43%, the company reported.
Talking about exports, the company said it exported 1,84,300 total units in June 2021 reporting an increase of 45% versus 1,26,908 units exported in June 2020. Out of the total exports of last month, 180,212 units were 2-wheelers while Bajaj Auto exported 30,120 units of commercial vehicles.
Overall 2-wheelers sales increased by 22% with 3,10,578 units in June 2021 as compared to 2,55,122 units last year. While commercial vehicles grew by 55% to 35,558 units last month 22,975 units in June 2020.
If we were to compare the sales of Bajaj Auto in June 2021 to May 2021, the company sold 60,830 units domestically in 2021, Bajaj exported 221,032 units in May 2021. In total, Bajaj Auto dispatched 2,71,862 units in April 2021.
Shares of Bajaj Auto gained nearly 3% after the company reported a 24% jump in its total sales in June 2021. The stock jumped 2.49% to Rs 4,235.95 on BSE at 12.10 while on NSE, it gained 2.51% to Rs 4,237.70.
