Petrol and diesel prices remained stable on August 26, according to a price notification by state-run oil companies. After holding static for over a month, the auto fuel prices started easing last week.
Petrol price in Chennai was unchanged at Rs 99.20 per litre, while diesel was at Rs 93.52 per litre. In Bengaluru a litre of petrol at Rs 104.98. While diesel price per litre was at Rs 94.34.
In Vijayawada, which has highest auto fuel prices among all South Indian cities, petrol and diesel are being retailed at Rs 107.35 and Rs 98.33, respectively.
