Fuel prices on October 5: Check rates in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and other cities

Petrol prices increased by 20 to 26 paise, while diesel prices went up by 30 to 32 paise on October 5, according to a price notification by state-run oil companies. In Delhi, petrol price went up by 25 paise from Rs 102.39 to Rs 102.64.

In Mumbai, a litre of petrol will cost Rs 108.67 and diesel Rs 98.80. Currently, fuel prices are highest in Mumbai among all metro cities. In Kolkata, a litre of petrol and diesel prices will cost Rs 103.36 and Rs 94.17, respectively.

Petrol prices in Chennai will cost Rs 100.23, while diesel prices will cost Rs 95.59. In Bengaluru, a litre of petrol will cost Rs 106.21 and diesel Rs 96.66. In Hyderabad, a litre of petrol and diesel will cost Rs 106.77 and Rs 99.37, respectively.

In Vijayawada, petrol price costs Rs 108.54, while diesel price is being retailed at Rs 100.61 respectively. Currently, Vijayawada has the highest fuel prices among all south Indian cities. Petrol and diesel prices in Visakhapatnam were being retailed at Rs 107.69  and Rs 99.77, respectively.

Petrol prices have already crossed the Rs 100-mark in more than 20 states and union territories – Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Jammu & Kashmir, Odisha, Manipur, Ladakh, Bihar, Punjab and others. Petrol and diesel prices get revised in India every day at 6 am.
