Petrol and diesel prices were hiked by 35 paise and 37 paise respectively on October 20, according to a price notification by state-run oil companies. In Delhi, petrol price went up by 35 paise from Rs 105.84 to Rs 106.19. While diesel price increased by 35 paise from Rs 94.57 to Rs 94.92. In Mumbai, a litre of petrol will cost Rs 112.11 and diesel Rs 102.89. Currently, fuel prices are highest in Mumbai among all metro cities. In Kolkata, a litre of petrol and diesel prices will cost Rs 106.77 and Rs 98.03, respectively.
Petrol prices in Chennai will cost Rs 103.31, while diesel prices will cost Rs 99.26. In Bengaluru, a litre of petrol will cost Rs 109.89 and diesel Rs 100.75. In Hyderabad, a litre of petrol and diesel will cost Rs 110.46 and Rs 103.56, respectively.
In Vijayawada, petrol price costs Rs 112.11, while diesel price is being retailed at Rs 104.65 respectively. Currently, Vijayawada has the highest fuel prices among all south Indian cities. Petrol and diesel prices in Visakhapatnam were being retailed at Rs 111.26 and Rs 103.80, respectively.
Petrol prices have already crossed the Rs 100-mark in more than 20 states and union territories – Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Jammu & Kashmir, Odisha, Manipur, Ladakh, Bihar, Punjab and others. Petrol and diesel prices get revised in India every day at 6 am.
