Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi participated in ‘Atmanirbhar Narishakti Se Samvad’ and interacted with women Self Help Group (SHG) members and community resource persons promoted under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) today. He interacted with women SHGs across India via video conferencing.
Union minister of rural development Giriraj Singh who was also present during the virtual event applauded the women and their contribution to India’s economic growth. He also appreciated PM Modi’s vision and programmes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao intended for women’s empowerment and reliance. A short audiovisual presentation on women self-help group’s development was also showcased during the event.
The Prime Minister also unveiled a compendium of success stories of women SHG members from all across the country, along with a handbook on the universalisation of farm livelihoods.

Prime Minister praised the efforts of the women community in India’s economic growth. He also said their efforts during Covid-19 have been highly incredible and helped the nation in fighting against the pandemic.
Union minister for food processing industries Pashupati Kumar Paras; ministers of state-rural development, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste; MoS – panchayati raj, Shri Kapil Moreshwar Patil and MoS – ministry of food processing industry, Prahlad Singh Patel, were also present on the occasion.
