Fuel price hike goes on unabated. After the fourth hike in LPG prices in less than months, CNG and PNG rates have been increased for the second time in less than 15 days.
State-owned Indraprastha Gas, which sells CNG and piped natural gas in Delhi and the National Capital Region, has announced that higher rates come into effect today.
The price of CNG in Delhi is now Rs 49.76 per kg, while PNG will cost Rs 35.11 per Standard Cubic Meter (SCM), according to the gas distribution firm.
In an SMS message to PNG customers to Delhi, Indraprastha Gas said, “The domestic PNG price has been increased by Rs 2.10 per SCM with effect from October 13, 2021, to partially cover the hike in input gas cost. The applicable price Delhi would be Rs 35.11/SCM (including VAT).”
According to a tweet by Indraprastha Gas, the revised CNG price in NCT of Delhi would be Rs 49.76 per kg effective October 13. The increase in CNG price is Rs 2.28 per kg.
In Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad, PNG would cost Rs 34.86 per SCM.
CNG will be sold for Rs 56.02 per kilogram.
CNG would cost Rs 58.20 per kg in Gurugram, while PNG will cost Rs 33.31 per SCM.
This is the month’s second price increase. Following a 62% increase in natural gas prices on October 1, CNG and PNG rates were increased by Rs 2.28 per kg and Rs 2.10, respectively.
Following the rise in crude oil prices, worldwide gas costs are projected to rise this year, putting Indian consumers at risk of inflated CNG and PNG charges.
Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices were last raised by Rs 15. This year, the price of cooking gas and motor fuel has risen dramatically. In less than two months, the price of LPG cylinders has risen for the fourth time. Since January 1, the price of a residential cooking gas cylinder has increased by Rs 205.
A 14.5-kilogram cylinder will cost Rs 899.50 in Delhi. A home cooking gas cylinder will set you back Rs 899.50 in Mumbai. An LPG cylinder will cost Rs 926 in Kolkata, the most expensive among India’s metro cities. 14.5-kilogram cooking gas will cost Rs 915.50 in Chennai.
