Academy Awards scheduled to take place on April 25, 2021, films released till February eligible to be considered

The 93rd Academy Awards is scheduled to take place on April 25, 2021. Due to the pandemic, the awaited coveted awards have been shifted to the spring which is why the eligibility time period has also been increased and all the movies released till February 2021 are now eligible to compete.

As per Goldderby, the show will be aired live on ABC at 8:00 PM as per Eastern Time and 5:00 PM as per Pacific Time.

The voting will start from March 5, 2021, to March 10, 2021. All Oscar nominations will be declared 0n March 15, 2021, at 8:30 AM as per Eastern Time and 5:30 AM as per Pacific Time, live on Youtube and also on ABC channel.

Till now, no hosts have been announced. Hollywood doyens Stacey Sher, Jesse Collins, Steven Soderbergh are expected to present the show, according to Goldderby.

Other than ABC, Oscars will also be streamed live on Youtube.
