Punjab National Bank gains for third consecutive session

Punjab National Bank gained for a third straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 44.3, up 1.72% on the day as on 12:49 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is down around 0.4% on the day, quoting at 15184.5. The Sensex is at 51190, down 0.49%. Punjab National Bank has risen around 10.34% in last one month.

Meanwhile, Nifty Bank index of which Punjab National Bank is a constituent, has risen around 1.64% in last one month and is currently quoting at 36368.05, down 0.36% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 1406.9 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 2271.55 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark March futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 43.15, up 1.29% on the day. Punjab National Bank is down 1.56% in last one year as compared to a 34.75% spurt in NIFTY and a 25.76% spurt in the Nifty Bank index.

The PE of the stock is 62.21 based on TTM earnings ending December 20.
