According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, the total wealth of Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, has increased to 111 billion dollars. Compared to this, Ambani’s wealth is 109 billion dollars. With this change, Adani has once again seized the position of the richest person in Asia.
Gautam Adani is ranked 11th among the world’s richest people. His wealth has seen a surge of 26.8 billion dollars in the year 2024 so far. With a rapid increase in total wealth by 12.7 billion dollars, Mukesh Ambani is positioned at 12th place.
The surge in Adani’s shares has played a significant role in surpassing Ambani by Adani. After a report by Jefferies, all the companies’ shares of the Adani Group saw a surge on May 31st. On Monday, there was also a substantial surge in the Adani Group’s shares due to indications of PM Modi’s return in the exit polls. Adani Power, Adani Ports, and Adani Enterprises are witnessing significant jumps in their shares.

According to the exit poll of TV9 Bharatvarsh, it is estimated that NDA led by PM Modi will get 346 seats, while the INDIA alliance may get 162 seats and others may get 35 seats. The election results will be announced on June 4, 2024, with the majority mark being 272.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Bernard Arnault, Chairman and CEO of the luxury goods company LVMH, is at the top with a wealth of 207 billion dollars. Tesla Chief Elon Musk is at the second position with a net worth of 203 billion dollars. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos stands third with a wealth of 199 billion dollars. Meta’s founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg is on the fourth spot with a wealth of 166 billion dollars. while Google’s co-founder Larry Page is fifth with a wealth of 153 billion dollars.
