"Till the time Zomato is not falling below its issue price, these dips should not worry investors"

With the economy showing signs of revival, Zomato has said it plans to to hire 400 employees.

Last year, Zomato laid off 500 employees across functions due to the challenges brought by the coronavirus pandemic. But as business picked up, it hired 400 employees and the next set of hirings will also be done through the referral route as earlier.

According to a report in The Economic Times, Zomato has decided to make the enrollment mostly through the referral mode as it will save time and ensure the right fit.

Most of the hirings are being done for the tech and product teams.

It is currently recruiting around 10-15 employees per month and is planning to hire for its sales, finance and legal teams as well in future, the report stated. The company is looking to achieve a lower attrition rate.

Zomato has also discontinued the leave approval process. Zomato employees can now apply for the leave by directly recording it in the system. The process of seeking leave approvals has been done away with.
