Bhupendra Patel to be new Gujarat chief minister

The previous CM Vijay Rupani, who had resigned yesterday from his post had proposed his name.

The new Chief Minister of Gujarat will be BJP MLA Bhupendra Patel. He was elected unanimously as BJP legislature party leader. The previous CM Vijay Rupani, who had resigned yesterday from his post had proposed his name.

In the 2017 Gujarat Legislative Assembly elections, Patel had won from Ghatlodia constituency, defeating Congress candidate Shashikant Patel.

The newly appointed CM of Gujarat Bhupendra Patel, thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president JP Nadda and Union home minister Amit Shah for trusting him with this responsibility.
