BSF to recruit 269 candidates under sports quota for the position of constable (general duty)

Border Security Force (BSF), a central armed police force (CAPF), has published a notification for recruitment to the post of constable (general duty) against sports quota. This is a group-C, non-gazetted and non-ministerial post. Both male and female candidates can apply only online through the official website of BSF for this post. Online application process will start on August 9, 2021.
The recruitment will be done on contract but is likely to be permanent. Last date of online application September 22, 2021. Candidates are advised to fill the application form after reading the instructions carefully.

Salary
Level 3, which ranges from Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100 among other allowances.
Selection process
Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of document verification, measurement of physical standard (PST) and detailed medical examination (DME).

Interested and eligible applicants can apply online through the BSF recruitment website https://rectt.bsf.gov.in. Online application mode will be opened on August 9, 2021 at 00:01 am. Last date of application September 22, 2021 at 11:59 pm.
Eligibility criteria
a) Educational qualification: Minimum matriculation or its equivalent from a recognised board.
b) Age: Between 18 to 23 years as on August 1, 2021. Relaxation of the upper age limit is applicable for candidates of reserved categories.
c) Physical standard:
i) Height: Male – 170 centimetres and Female – 157 centimetres.
ii) Chest (for male only): 80 centimetres (unexpended). Minimum expansion 5 centimetres.
iii) Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards for male and female candidates. Relaxation in physical parameters applicable as per government orders.
d) Sports eligibility:
