CBSE waives exam fees for students who have lost parents to Covid-19

Schools submit the list of students taking class 10 and 12 examinations to CBSE

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a relied measure for students who have lost their parents due to Covid-19. The students belonging to Class 10th and 12th, who will be appearing for board exams and have lost their parents due to the Covid-19 pandemic will not have to pay any registration or examination fees.

CBSE examination controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said that the impact of Covid-19 has been severe on the entire nation and in this regard, CBSE has taken a relief measure for the academic session 2021-22.

” It has decided that neither the examination fees nor the registration fees will be charged by the Board from the students who have lost both parents or surviving parent or legal guardian or adoptive parents due to Covid-19 pandemic,” Bhardwaj added.

Schools submit the list of students taking class 10 and 12 examinations to CBSE. They will have to also provide such details of students who are availing this relief to verify the authenticity.
