According to talent consultancy firm Han Digital, Accenture has hired more than 70,000 candidates in India in the current financial year, which might be a record India's IT industry.
According to a report, the April to June period witnessed a surge in talent with skills niched in digital, following the growth in digital economy, primarily supported by the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) industry. The skills in demand include, full Stack, React JS, Android, Angular JS, and Cloud Infrastructure Technologies, Cyber Security, among others, has seen a surge since last quarter, as technology transformations have become a key priority for organisations, according to data from business solutions provider Quess.
It further said that gaming (Unity Developers), DevOps (Bamboo, Jira) and Platforms like Salesforce, SAP HANA, have witnessed an increase in skill demand.
Demand for Android developers high
The report also revealed that the overall demand for the top five skills among tier 1 cities came from Bengaluru which was the highest at 40%, followed by Hyderabad and Pune at 18% respectively.
It also said that demand for android developers was at a 81% high, whereas demand for React JS Developers and Cloud Tech Developers was at 44% and 41%, this is according to a skill-wise break-up presented in data.
Almost an equal demand was seen across cities like Bangalore (42%) and Hyderabad (37%) for full stack developers. Whereas, demand for Angular JS Developers was distributed evenly across Hyderabad (25%), Bengaluru (21%), Gurugram (21%), Chennai (16%) and Pune (13%), it added.
The data for the report is derived from the algorithm built into the company’s application tracking system, which maps and matches candidates to positions in the time period of October-March 2020-2021 compared with March-August 2021.
