South Korean automaker Hyundai has launched the i20 N Line in India with a price range of Rs 9.84 lakh to Rs 11.75 lakh. The brand new i20 N Line, which is essentially a sportier version of the i20 premium hatchback, will come in three variants- N6 iMT, N8 iMT and N8 DCT.
With the launch of this model, Hyundai introduces its N Line segment in India. It is being offered only on the range-topping 1-litre GDI Turbo iMT and DCT iteration. The i20 N line comes with 1-litre, three-cylinder GDi turbo petrol engine which can churn out 118 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 172 Nm at 1,500- 4,000 rpm.
This new model will also include a six-speed Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT) and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The DCT version is capable of going from 0 to 100 kmph in 9.9 seconds.
The list of features on i20 N is similar to the standard i20 Turbo, like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Hyundai’s Bluelink connected car technology and premium Bose surround sound system. The car is also equipped with wireless charging, auto climate control, cruise control and ambient lighting among others, Car and Bike report added.
As far as safety measures are concerned, i20 N also comes with vehicle stability management, electronic stability control, hill assist control and disc brakes for all four wheels. Other safety features include Anti-block Braking System, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, six airbags, emergency stoplight, ISOFIX to fit a child seat, rear parking camera with sensors and seat belt reminder among others.
The vehicle comes with refined styling updates to distinguish itself from the standard i20. Some of the most noticeable features are the chequered flag-themed front grille with the N badging, a sportier two-tone front bumper, chrome fog lamp housings and red accents on the front skid plates and side sills, according to Overdrive. At the back, it is equipped with a new spoiler, a twin-tipped exhaust outlet, a wing spoiler and a brushed chrome highlight between the tail lamps.
The i20 N Line will have two dual-tone and four single-tone options across six colours.
