Income tax department recruitment 2021: Apply for 155 different vacancies
The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 155 vacancies in the post of multi-tasking staff (MTS), inspector of income tax and tax assistant
The IT department, Mumbai region has released a recruitment notification inviting applications for the various posts under sports quota. Interested candidates can apply online for the posts through the official website of Income Tax Department, Mumbai Region at www.incometaxmumbai.gov.in.
Both male and female candidates can apply.
The last date of online application form submission is August 26, 2021.

Eligibility criteria
i) Educational qualification:
Multi-tasking staff: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised university or board.
Income tax inspector: Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or equivalent.
Tax assistant: Bachelor’s degree and data entry speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour.
ii) Age:
Multi-tasking staff: Between 18 to 25 years as on August 1, 2021.
Inspector of income tax: Between 18 to 30 years as on August 1, 2021.
Tax assistant: Between 18 to 27 years as on August 1, 2021.
Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per government of India guidelines for reserved category.
iii) Sports eligibility:

Salary
Multi-tasking staff: Pay level-1 (Rs 18,000 to Rs 56,900)
Inspector of income tax: Pay level-7 (Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,400)
Tax assistant: Pay level-4 (Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,100)
