Independence Day | Global leaders wish India on its 75th Independence Day

A number of global leaders greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on India’s 75th Independence Day on Sunday. US President Joe Biden in a statement on Saturday said, that India is guided by Mahatma Gandhi’s message of truth and non-violence, with which it achieved its long journey towards independence. He also said that India’s commitment to respecting the will of the people through democracy continues to inspire the world.

“On this day, August 15, 1947, India achieved its long journey toward independence, guided by Mahatma Gandhi’s message of truth and non-violence,” Biden said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin also acknowledged the success achieved by India in economic, social, and other spheres over the years while greeting the country on its 75th Independence Day.
