Despite the disruptions brought by the coronavirus pandemic, the Tokyo Olympics is scheduled to begin from July 23. The opening ceremony will take place at the National Stadium in Tokyo while the closing ceremony will be held on August 8. Public broadcaster Doordarshan has released its broadcast plans for the biggest sporting extravaganza in the world. All India Radio will also cover the event extensively with special programmes.
The coverage spans from pre to post-Olympics and will be available on Prasar Bharati’s TV, radio and digital platforms across the country.
