The South Central Railway (SCR) zone of Indian Railways has modified several existing express trains to the superfast category. The SCR also decided to convert some passenger trains to express trains starting in October.
According to a statement released by SCR, 673 trains out of a total of 872 that operate in the zone have had their speeds increased as a result of SCR’s updated passenger train categorization.
Here is the list of trains converted from mail/express to superfast:
The revised Public Time Table contains information about the introduction of a new train, the conversion of mail/express trains to superfast express and passenger trains to express trains, train diversion, the train speeding up, and a change in terminal over the South Central Railway.
From October 1, the new train schedule came into effect. Those planning to travel by Indian Railways after October 1 should check actual train schedules before starting their journey.
Updated information related to the train schedule and departure can be obtained by checking the IRCTC website (www.irctc.co.in), or using the National Train Enquiry System (NTES), or by reaching out to the station manager/enquiry counter at the concerned railway stations.
