IndiGo has also added Jabalpur to its network. The airline will operate direct flights from Jabalpur to Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Indore from August 20.

Under the regional connectivity scheme UDAN, Indigo’s Bareilly-Mumbai flight was flagged off by the Union Minister on Thursday, August 12th. The Ministry of Civil Aviation on twitter said that Bareilly has been upgraded for commercial flight operations under UDAN. Also, adding that Bareilly is the eight airport of Uttar Pradesh after Lucknow, Varnasi, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Hindon, Agra and Prayagraj.
The UDAN scheme has played a crucial role in encouraging operations from unserved and undeserved airports through financial incentives from the Centre, state governments and airport operators, extending them to selected airlines and keep airfares affordable.
