IOCL to recruit 1,900+ trade apprentices

Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL), the largest oil marketer in the country, has issued a notification for recruitment of trade apprentices for its refinery units. This recruitment drive is to fill more than 1,900 vacancies in Guwahati, Barauni, Gujarat, Haldia, Mathura, Panipat, Digboi, Bongaigaon and Paradip. The duration of the apprenticeship is 12 months to 24 months. Eligible candidates can apply through the official site of IOCL. The online application process has started. Eligibility criteria

– Educational qualification:

Attendant Operator: Candidates must have a three-year BSc degree in physics, mathematics, chemistry/ industrial chemistry.

Fitter (mechanical): Candidates must have passed matric with two years ITI certificate in fitter

Boiler (mechanical): Candidates must have a three-year BSc degree with physics, mathematics, chemistry/ industrial chemistry)

Technician Apprentice: Candidates must have a three-year diploma in the relative discipline.

Secretarial assistant: Candidates must have a three-year BA/ BSc/ BCom degree.

Accountant: Candidates must have a three-year BCom to apply for this post.

Data entry operator (Fresher): Candidates must have passed higher secondary.

Data entry operator (Skilled): Candidates must have passed higher secondary and should possess a skill certificate in Domestic Data Entry Operator.

– Age limit:

The candidates should have attained the age of 18 years. And the maximum age limit is 24 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for reserved category candidates as per government guidelines.
