IPL: Kolkata Knight Riders set 189-run target for Sunrisers Hyderabad

Rashid Khan and Nabi bowled tight spells to check KKR innings which at one looked like crossing 200

Opener Nitish Rana scored a brilliant half century to take Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) to 187 for 6 in the 20 overs against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Chennai on Sunday. Rashid Khan was the most economical bowler for SRH taking 2/24 runs in his four overs.

Rana scored 80 off 56 balls and in the company of Rahul Tripathi (53 off 29) added 93 runs for the second wicket before SRH bowlers tightened things. A late cameo by Dinesh Karthik (22 off 9) helped KKR reach a above par score.

Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner won the toss and elected to bowl. Veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh was named in the KKR playing eleven.
