The price of an LPG cylinder in the market is between Rs 809 and Rs 835. But you can book one for Rs 509 and Rs 535. This is not a surprise for a single cylinder; one can get of the benefit of this price for three consecutive cylinders.
The price of domestic cooking gas has shot up considerably in the past few months.
The price of a cylinder currently is Rs 809 in Mumbai and Delhi, Rs 835 in Kolkata, Rs 825 in Chennai. It costs Rs 907 in Patna, the highest in the country.

Paytm has come up with an offer for its subscribers. This is a cashback offer for first time users. If anyone books and pays for a LPG cylinder through Paytm app the consumer would be eligible for this offer.
Users can now pay through Paytm for bookings made through IVRS, missed calls or WhatsApp.
The company has announced this assured cashback of up to Rs 900 on consecutive 3 cylinders for first-time users.
The users will also get assured Paytm First Points on every cylinder booked on Paytm.
The offer is applicable on purchase of cylinders from all 3 major LPG marketing companies — Indane, HP and Bharat Gas. The customer will also have an option to book now pay later option for cylinder booking by enrolling in Paytm Postpaid service.
A consumer can get maximum up to Rs 900 assured cashback for three cylinders, means up to Rs 300 off per cylinder, according to a Paytm statement.
Currently an LPG cylinder costs between Rs 809 and Rs 835 depending on the city. In Mumbai and Delhi the price is Rs 809, in Chennai the price is Rs 825 and in Kolkata it is Rs 835.
All that an user needs to do is go to the ‘Book Gas Cylinder’ tab in Paytm app, select the gas provider, i.e. Indane or HP or Bharat Gas and enter the registered mobile number or LPG ID or consumer number and then make the payment through Paytm.
The cylinder is delivered to the registered address by the nearest gas agency.
The cashback will be processed instantly and credited to the Paytm account within a few minutes.
Another important feature now available on the Paytm app is to track the delivery of the gas cylinder and also receive automated reminders for refills after a specific time period.
This is not the first time that Paytm has extended this attractive offer. Last April, Paytm gave an attractive offer to first-time customers.
The fintech giant launched a cashback offer during April, under which if anyone booked a gas cylinder through Paytm, the person was entitled to get a cashback of up to Rs 800. This offer was available till April 30, 2021.
But that offer for the first time only, but now the company has extended it to first three LPG cylinders.
Until March 2021, there were 28.5 crore LPG connections in the country. Of them, about 83 lakh connections were given under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) since its launch on May 1, 2016.
Within a 5-year span the government issued 83 lakh gas connections to the poorer section of the society and aims to issue another 30 lakhs by March, 2022.
