Bihar Post Office Recruitment 2021: Nearly 2,000 Gramin Dak Sevak posts vacant

Candidates can apply online for various GDS posts in Bihar Circle till July 14, 2021 through the official website of India Posts

The minimum educational qualification for the post is class 10 pass.

India Post, the largest postal network in the world is receiving online applications for the post of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) in the Bihar postal circle. The total number of vacancies is 1,940.

Through this recruitment process, India Post will fill vacancies in branch post master (BPM), assistant branch post master (ABPM) and dak sevak (DS) posts in Bihar circle. There are a total 23 postal circles with more than 1.54 lakh post offices across India.

Candidates can apply online for various GDS posts in Bihar Circle till July 14, 2021 through the official website of India Posts. Earlier the last date was June 30.

Eligibility criteria

Educational qualification: i) Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in mathematics, local language and English

(ii) Compulsory knowledge of local language

Age: Between 18 years to 40 years (As on April 27, 2021)

Salary

1) Level 1 in TRCA (Time related continuity allowance) slab

BPM: Rs 12,000 per month

ABPM/Dak Sevak: Rs 10,000 per month

2) Level 2 in TRCA Slab

BPM: Rs 14,500 per month

ABPM/Dak Sevak: Rs 12,000 per month

However, the initial fixation of TRCA will be done on the first stage of level-I of the respective category.

UR/OBC/EWS Male/trans-man: Rs. 100

SC/ST/PwD category and female/trans-woman: Nil

Selection process

The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of the automatic generated merit list.
