The Odisha Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE) has issued a notification for recruitment to the post of hindi, sanskrit and physical education teachers. Through this recruitment process, a total number of 4,610 vacancies would be filled up. According to notification, the recruitment will be on a contractual basis. All interested candidates can apply online to the posts from August 23, 2021. The last date of submission of online application is September 14, 2021.

Hindi teacher: 2,055 posts
Sanskrit teacher: 1,304 posts
Physical education teacher: 1,260 posts
– Age: Between 21 years to 32 years as on January 1, 2021.
Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable for reserved category candidates as per government guidelines.
– Educational qualification:
Sanskrit teacher:
i) Bachelor’s degree with Sanskrit and minimum 50% marks in aggregate, or Shastri (Sanskrit) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised university and Shiksha Shastri (Sanskrit), a course prescribed by NCTE, from a recognised university.
Hindi teacher:
i) Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with Hindi and minimum 50% marks in aggregate, or Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with minimum 50% marks in aggregate with one of the following qualifications;
a) Rastrabhasa Ratna from Rastrabhasa Prachar Samiti, Wardha
b) Shastri (Hindi) from Orissa Rastrabhasa Parishad, Puri
c) Snataka from Hindi Shiksha Samiti, Orissa, Cuttack
ii) Along with one of the following training qualifications
a) Hindi Shikshan Parangat from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra
b) BEd, a course prescribed by NCTE, from a recognised university or institution
c) BEd in Hindi from Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Madras.
Physical education teacher:
i) Class 12 (+2) passed or its equivalent examination from a recognised institution with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and
ii) CPEd or BPEd or MPEd from a recognised board or university.
There will be minimum marks relaxation for the candidates belonging to reserved categories.
All candidates must be able to read and write Odia.
For SC, ST, and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) category candidates: Rs 400
For all other candidates, it is Rs 600.
The payment will be made through the online payment gateway.
The selection will be done on the basis of the computer-based competitive examination results. Place and dates of verification of documents of candidates will be published on the website.
Interested candidates can apply online to the posts through the appropriate link on the website https://dseodisha.in from August 23, 2021, at 11.00 AM onwards. The application window will open till September 14, 2021, at 06.00 PM. After submitting the online applications, the candidates can take a printout for future reference.
