India’s leading car maker, Maruti Suzuki, has again recalled few units of Baleno for the second time in current calendar year. This time, the Japanese based automobile manufacturer has recalled 7,213 units of the premium hatchback. Interesting thing is that, even those units of Baleno RS have been recalled, which were sold up to six in a half years ago back till October 27, 2016.
This is not the first time that the ace car maker has recalled units of one of its most selling hatchback, Baleno. It was only in January, this year, that Maruti had recalled few units of Baleno because defect was found in its airbags. And now the Japanese based automobile manufacturer has again recalled some more units of the hatchback, (this time more than 7,000 units of Baleno RS) because defect has been found in its brake.
Its just fourth month of current calendar year, and Maruti has already recalled over 24,000 units of models K10, S-Presso, Eeco, Brezza, Grand Vitara and of course Baleno.
Maruti recalled over 50K vehicles since 2022:

In October, last year, vehicles of models like Wagon R, Ignis and Celerio were recalled on complaints of defect found in one of the parts of the brakes of these vehicles.
Airbag defect most common cause of car recalls in recent past:
In January, 2023, Toyota had asked customers to get airbag controllers checked of Glanza and Urban Cruiser Hyryder. This was because defect was found in airbag controllers of these vehicles.
In October, 2022, one of the fastest growing automobile companies in the country, Kia India, had recalled more than 40,000 units of multi-utility vehicle (MUV) Carens. Problem was again in airbag controllers.
In January, 2023, Maruti had recalled more than 17,000 vehicles of models like K10, S-Presso, Eeco, Brezza, Grand Vitara and Baleno. Again defect was found in airbag controllers of these models.
