Ola Electric scooter wait gets longer; here's what Bhavish Aggarwal has to say

Ola Chairman and Group CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal in a late night statement on twitter said that the purchase process has been delayed by a week and would commence from September 15.

Due to the technical glitches in making the website for purchases live for customers, Ola Electric has postponed the S1 electric scooter’s sales by a week to September 15, on Wednesday. The company had launched the electric scooter in two variants, S1 and S1 Pro at Rs 99,999 and Rs 1,29,999 respectively, last month. Back then, the company had announced the scooter would be available for purchase from September 8, with the actual deliveries starting from October. The electric scooter comes in ten different colours.

Ola Chairman and Group CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal in a late night statement on Twitter said that the purchase process has been delayed by a week and would commence from September 15.

He further added that the company had committed to begin purchases for the Ola S1 scooter from today. However, the company had faced a lot of technical difficulties in making their website for purchases live today, he added.

He also apologised to all those who had to wait for several hours for the disappointment, as it was clearly a very frustrating experience.

Aggarwal further informed customers that the digital purchase journey offered by the company will include a fully digital loan process without any paperwork. He said that, to give this first of its kind digital purchase journey it will take them another week. They will be starting their purchase on September 15th, 8:00 AM, he added.

He also noted that the delivery dates, reservations and positions of the reservation will also remain unchanged. Those who have reserved first will still be able to buy it first, he added.
