The sale of the Ola electric scooter (Ola S1 electric scooter) is starting from today, September 8, 2021, which also marks World EV Day. The deliveries of the scooter will start from October 2021. The company will also start the test drives this month. There is an option to cancel the order after the test ride. Those interested can buy the scooter through online mode and the scooter will be delivered at home. Ola Electric started pre-launch bookings in July with a refundable amount of Rs 499 and received an overwhelming response. In the following weeks, Ola Electric had confirmed receiving orders from around 1,000 cities.
The Ola Electric S1 and S1 Pro scooters were launched in the market on August 15 with a starting price of Rs 1 lakh. There has been an increase in orders after the launch. The customers who want to complete the purchase can do it from today onwards.
Any customer who wants to complete the entire purchase process online can do so from September 8. These customers will get the delivery on a ‘first reserve, first serve’ basis. With the commencement of sales of the Ola S1 electric scooter, customers who have booked earlier will be given the first chance to buy.
To buy an Ola scooter, you need not to go to the showroom, as the buying process has been kept completely online. This electric scooter can be purchased through Ola or through the Ola Electric app. Currently, the Ola app is available everywhere but the Ola Electric app will be made available in the iOS and Android stores on September 8.
Ola Electric currently does not have any dealer network and is adopting the direct-to-home model for its S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters. The Ola S1 electric scooter will be sold in batches, the scooter will be delivered directly to the customer at home. You will have to make full payment a few days before the delivery, otherwise the scooter will be given to someone else. In such a situation, if you pay later, you will be provided with a new delivery date.
The price of this electric scooter also varies depending on the different subsidies given in different states for electric vehicles. The Ola S1 scooter will be available in Delhi for Rs 85,099 (ex-showroom), Rs 94,999 in Maharashtra, Rs 89,968 in Rajasthan, and Rs 99,999 in other states. It’s most affordable price is Rs 79,999 in Gujarat.
