Good news for government jobseekers. State-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is inviting online applications for recruitment to the post of graduate trainees. This recruitment drive is being conducted to fill up a total of 313 vacancies. The application process began on September 22, 2021. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the posts in engineering and geo-science disciplines. Only GATE 2020 score is valid for this recruitment exercise. The last day to apply for these posts is October 12, 2021.

Unreserved: 193 posts
Other backward class (OBC): 48 posts
Scheduled caste (SC): 33 posts
Scheduled tribes (ST): 24 posts
Economically weaker section (EWS): 15 posts
— Educational qualification: Under this recruitment process, ONGC will fill 313 vacancies in 17 different posts. To apply for notified ONGC vacancies the minimum required educational qualification along with GATE subject will vary post to post. Candidates are requested to read the detailed recruitment notification.
— Age limit: The maximum age limit for the unreserved and EWS category for all posts except AEE (drilling/ cementing) is 30 years and for the post of AEE (drilling/ cementing) the age limit is 28 years as on July 31, 2021. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable for reserved category candidates as per government guidelines.
Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of educational qualification, GATE 2020 score and performance in interview. In the selection process, out of 100 marks, the weightage of GATE 2020 score is 60 marks.
Eligible candidates can apply online for the posts through the ONGC’s website on or before October 12, 2021. Candidates can apply for a maximum of three posts as per their qualification.
