Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the country on Friday, a day after the country’s cumulative vaccination coverage against Covid-19 surpassed the 100 crore mark. In his address, PM Modi congratulated every Indian citizen for playing a pivotal role in achieving the milestone of 100 crore vaccine doses. He said that with this achievement the nation has given a strong answer to those who were doubting India’s strength to fight the battle against Covid-19. PM Modi while appreciating the 100 crore Covid vaccine dose landmark, said that these are not merely statistics, but a new chapter in history.
He also said that India’s vaccination programme followed the mantra of ‘Sabka Sath’. There was no VIP culture in vaccine administration, everyone was treated on equal grounds for vaccination drive. Taking everyone along, the country started the campaign of ‘Sabko Vaccine, Muft Vaccine’, he noted.
He said that India’s vaccination programme was science-born, science-driven and science-based. CoWin platform played a key role in the inoculation of the population. The whole world is now talking about CoWin Platform.
He then cautioned the citizens that that battle is not over yet and one should not let their guards down, especially with the festive season approaching. He urged the nation to celebrate festivals following all the safety protocols.
He also stated that India is making strides in all sectors with massive reforms in housing, rising start-up culture, investment boosts, etc.
Modi advocated that an emphasise on ‘vocal for local’ and ‘Sabka Prayas’ can make ‘Made in India’ a success.
