Reliance Retail rolls out 7-Eleven stores; retail players in action in India

On Saturday, October 9, the first 7-Eleven store will open in Andheri East, Mumbai.

Recently, Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd (RRVL), through its wholly-owned subsidiary, 7-India Convenience Retail Ltd, announced it has entered into a master franchise agreement with 7-Eleven, Inc., (SEI) the American retail major, for the introduction of 7-Eleven convenience stores in India.

On Saturday, October 9, the first 7-Eleven store will open in Andheri East, Mumbai. Reliance Retail said in a statement that this will be followed by a rapid deployment in important neighbourhoods and commercial districts across the Greater Mumbai cluster, to begin with.

D-Mart

DMart is a supermarket chain that combines a variety of home and personal products into one convenient location. Future Retail Limited (FRL) is a corporation founded in India that sells a variety of domestic and consumer goods through departmental store facilities in a variety of forms. The business of multi-brand retail commerce is the company’s primary focus. There are roughly 20 compact hypermarket easyday outlets and over 210 supermarket easyday stores available to the organisation. Value business and home business are the two most common retail models. Big Bazaar, a hypermarket; Food Bazaar, a supermarket; FBB, a fashion destination; Food Hall, a supermarket; and Easyday convenient stores are all part of the company’s value business.

Shoppers Stop

Shoppers Stop Limited operates department stores that sell a variety of domestic and consumer goods. It sells both clothes and non-apparel items.
