SBI warns customers of fake and misleading messages circulating on behalf of the bank
The State Bank of India has asked the citizens to be cautious of such fraudulent messages and use only official website or apps for any bank related need.
With the rise in digital transactions, cybercrimes have also surged by leaps and bounds. Negligent consumers often get trapped into it and end up losing money in such frauds.
One such customer has made the State Bank of India aware of the fake and misleading messages that are taking rounds in social media in the name of the bank. He said in a tweet: “This unknown number (UAE Number) recently sent a video asking about a lottery of 25 lakhs. The lottery can only be issued from the State Bank of India (Mumbai). I perceived it as a scam and reported the number ASAP. @TheOfficialSBI Kindly take adequate actions.”

The State Bank of India has asked the citizens to be cautious of such fraudulent messages and use only official website or apps for any bank related need. The bank tweeted: “We request all our customers to use only our official website and apps for their banking needs. Please be cautious of fake / misleading messages/apps circulating on Social Media purportedly on behalf of SBI.”
