SpiceJet introduces EMI plan for ticket payment

SpiceJet has decided to connect Bagdora with Ahmedabad, Kolkata with Srinagar and has also added two new flights on the Bengaluru to Pune sector

Using the UPI ID, passengers must make the first payment of the EMI and the subsequent amounts will be debited from the same ID. 

SpiceJet announced the launch of a new scheme, wherein passengers will be allowed to pay the price of the tickets in multiple installments. The installment period ranges from 3-12 months, the airline said. It also said in a press release, that customers need not pay any interest for three months, as a part of its launch offer.

Card details not required

For availing the EMI scheme, passengers must provide basic details like PAN number, Aadhaar number or VID and will have to verify the same using a One Time Password (OTP), the release said. Using the UPI ID, passengers must make the first payment of the EMI and the subsequent amounts will be debited from the same ID.

The company also said that customers need not provide any credit card or debit card details to avail the EMI scheme.

In early October, Spicejet announced the launch of 28 new domestic flights across the country, which would be operational from October 31. It further said that it would be launching new multiple non-stop flights to connect tourist centers like Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Udaipur in Rajasthan with key metros and cities. This is said was part of the airline’s latest winter schedule.

Back on October 12, the government released an order which lifted restrictions from the travel capacity of an airline as the order has been in effect since October 18.
